OPMA Session at the Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Conference (OFVC)

On Thursday, February 20th, the OPMA will be holding a session at the Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Conference in Room 206 (upstairs) at the Niagara Falls Convention Centre.

9:30 a.m. Brian Ettkin from Numerator will lead a session named “Perpetually Pessimistic? An
Update on the Canadian Produce Shopper.” Inflation has returned to “normal” levels, and the economy has reached a “soft landing.” But the Canadian consumer is as skittish as ever. What should we expect for the consumer in 2025, especially when it comes to how they shop for produce? Numerator will share insights into shifting consumer behaviour and relate those insights back to the fruit and vegetable sector to provide concrete strategies for the produce industry.

10:30 a.m. A panel on “Navigating A Successful Rebrand in the Produce Sector” featuring Kelsey Coon from Highline Mushrooms, Alex Chesney from Berry Growers of Ontario and Leah Hardy from Wonderful Sales. Each panelist in this session will bring forward the challenges and methodologies they used while working on rebranding their products and offerings.
